We hope everyone in our school community had a joyful and restful Winter Break and we are so excited for the second part of our school year! We have many things to be proud of so far and our staff is committed to working together with our community to continue to create the best environment for academic learning and social development in Baltimore County!  Our community is an essential part of this work and we welcome your ideas and feedback!

  • Sandalwood Elementary Welcomes Ms. Jenny Rohrbaugh as Associate Principal on January 9th!   As part of the Baltimore County Public School System’s leadership development program, outstanding Assistant Principals in BCPS are given the opportunity to work with mentor principals for 4 weeks to help them prepare to serve the county as principals.   We are happy to announce that Ms. Jenny Rohrbaugh, current assistant principal at Villa Cresta Elementary, will join the Sandalwood team from January 9, 2017 through February 3, 2017 to work with our staff and students!  For the first 2 weeks of her rotation (Jan 9-Jan 20), Ms. Rohrbaugh will work alongside Mr. Bongiovanni.  During the last 2 weeks (Jan 23-Feb 3), Ms. Rohrbaugh will serve as the lead administrator for Sandalwood.  We are very excited to welcome Ms. Rohrbaugh to our school community!

Our doors open for breakfast ten minutes earlier, so parents can drop off their child at 8:35 am.  Students eat breakfast upon arrival and we start our instructional day promptly at 8:45 am.  Students arriving after 8:45am are marked late.
