Hello Sandalwood School Community, the BEST Community in Baltimore County!

Our school year has gotten off to a great start!  We are so excited about this year and as we enter September, we are ready to get deep into the business of teaching and learning!  This important work is a team effort and we greatly appreciate the support of our parents and community in helping our students achieve excellence!

Please plan to visit us for Back to School Night on Thursday September 8th from 5:00-6:30pm.  Teachers will be sharing important information about their classrooms and school initiatives.

Updated 9/8/16

As many of you know, we requested that the Office of Transportation change our morning crossing guard times to 8:30-9:00 am in an effort to accommodate students who may be arriving a little late.  Unfortunately, our request was denied and the crossing guard duty times will remain 8:15-8:45 am.  In order to ensure the safety of our students, we will be making an adjustment to our school day schedule.

Starting Friday, September 9th, 2016, we will be opening our doors for breakfast ten minutes earlier, so parents can drop off their child at 8:35 am.  Moving up our start time will help to ensure that crossing guards are on duty when your child arrives at school, even if running a little late.  Also on Friday, September 9th, we will be starting our instructional day promptly at 8:45 am.   Since any change may cause reason for an adjustment, students arriving after 8:45 am will not be marked late until Monday September 19th.  We hope this will allow students and parents a chance to adjust to our new starting time for school.  There will be no change to our dismissal time, which will remain 3:15 pm.
